This year the Annual
Meeting, with four very important proposals on the ballot, produced a record
owner turnout. More than 58% of the Ocean East voting interests cast their
ballots this year. The owners decisions are shown below.
ELECTION OF DIRECTORS
The owners elected two new
directors and reelected seven incumbents. The new Board of Directors which was
elected to serve in 2008 are shown below. Congratulations to one and all!

- Proposal to Amend the By-Laws
- The proposal to amend the
By-Laws of the Association was passed with 51% of the owner interests
voting for the proposal and 8% voting against.

- Adoption of the Proposed 2008
Budget
- The proposed 2008 Budget was
passed by a wide margin with 51% of the owners interests voting to
approved the budget and only 7% voting against the budget.
- Proposal for a Physical
Fitness Center
- The proposal that each unit week
owner be assessed $100 per unit week owned for the purpose of
constructing a Physical Fitness Center was overwhelmingly defeated. Only
4% of the owner interests voted for the proposal while 52% voted against
this proposal.
